Have you ever wanted to throw down your best moves, try out some new ones, or just express yourself freely amongst a crowd?
No Lights No Lycra is a local event that started in Melbourne in 2009. Now the movement has grown across the Globe.
Dance In The Dark It's exactly as it sounds, you head into your local event, they turn the lights off, and for the next 45 minutes you lose yourself in the music and feel the energy of everyone around you.
It was quite an experience to pull out the weirdest dance moves in your library, knowing your surrounded by other people. Hiding in the darkness of the hall, there is no space for embarrassment.
Everyone hoots and hollers through the songs and your left with a strange feeling, one of being in a community event, but not actually seeing anyone except for briefly at the beginning.
With so many events being held around Australia, and internationally, this is something to try out!
So... Is It Worth It?
Yes! This was truly such a unique experience. It is a judgement free zone where you can let go and not be worried!
