Catmosphere Cat Café was the first Cat Café to hit the shores of Australia. As the pioneers in the Aussie Cat Café scene, how does it stack up to what else Sydney has to offer.
The final Cat Café in the Sydney Cat Café saga, is this the one you should visit?
Catmosphere Cat Café Located in a heritage style shop in Surry Hills, the original Cat Café boasts the most
activities out of all the Cafés. Instead of having all the cats in one room, they have them sectioned into their own spaces. You get to choose whether to spend your time with Kittens, Juniors or Seniors.
If simply playing with the cats is not for you, they offer Cat Yoga as well as a Cat Cinema!
The Cats
This was the first Cat Cafe I visited where the cats are up for adoption. Because of
this the cat roster is forever changing. We visited the Treehouse Room which houses the Junior Cats. Catmosphere must also have the magical elixir, despite the cats constantly changing, they were all very sweet and got along together very well.
Pictured was my favourite cat of the day, her name is Linguine and she was the biggest sweetheart.
The cats were playful, enjoyed interaction with visitors and some even enjoyed the rare belly rubs!
The Café Catmosphere Café is another drinks only café. They have a window out the front so you can order your coffee to go if you're not planning on visiting the cats. I did not see many people ordering drinks, although apart from the beginning when we were in the waiting room, I could not see the front of house to know if people grab their coffees from here.
This seems like the café experience of the cat café is more for guests who have booked to see the cats.
A free drink is included in the price of your entry.
So... Is It Worth Visiting?
Yes! We had an amazing time here. We were having so much fun with the cats that we completely lost track of time and were shocked when our guide came up to tell us our time was up.
I had to use every strength in my bones not to adopt one of these cats. They were all so gorgeous.
I'm already considering hosting my birthday party here this year by booking out the cat cinema!
